The Marshall ROC Recovery Center

Marshall ROC – Restoring Our Community, is a coalition of organizations, funders, volunteers, and government agencies bound together by a common interest – helping our neighbors, particularly those who are most in need. Marshall ROC was formed in January 2022 and is led by its members in collaboration with government representatives. The mission of Marshall ROC is to support and empower individuals and households affected by the Marshall Fire and windstorm to lead their own recoveries by identifying needs and coordinating assistance on their behalf.

The Marshall ROC Recovery Center, located at 357 McCaslin Blvd., suite 115B, Louisville, CO. 80027, houses the Marshall ROC offices and provides space for mental health, rebuilding and technical programs, and the network of professionals helping to support the impacted community and to facilitate coordination and collaboration among local, national and governmental organizations. The Navigating Disaster for Boulder County program, operated by Lutheran Family Services – Rocky Mountains and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), are also located at the Marshall Fire Recovery Center. The Navigating Disaster Program is funded by Boulder County and the BOCO Community Foundation, and housed through the financial support of Marshall ROC donors.

Marshall ROC is so grateful for the financial contributions from The Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) Colorado Wildfire Fire Recovery Fund, Colorado 211-United Way, Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, Ascent Church, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Tebo Properties and United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), who are all supporting the Center in collaboration with Marshall ROC. We also appreciate the in-kind contributions from the University of Colorado Boulder Property Services Division and A Precious Child, who helped Marshall ROC outfit the offices and the conference rooms with furniture, and Information Technology Disaster Resource Center, Crisis Cleanup, and Voltage who collectively supported the technology, equipment, and the Marshall ROC website and logo design.

“Disaster recovery is the process of improving individual, family and community resiliency after a disaster. Recovery is not only about the restoration of structures, systems and services – although they are critical. A successful recovery is also about addressing sources of inequitable and unjust outcomes, and individuals and families being able to rebound from their losses and sustain their physical, social, economic, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.”
