DESCRIPTION:We are working with the Tree Trust to reserve a limited quantity of trees for pick-up at the 9/30 event.\nHome Improvement tools will be available day of as well with more information will follow once we have\na process in place to distribute equitably. \nWe are also working with the Tree Trust\, Colorado Tre Coalition and the Arbor Day Foundation to procure\ntrees for the Spring 2024. Experts will be available from CTC\, Colorado Extension\, and the Tree Trust to help\nwith recommendations for the best trees for your home and advice on how and where to plant certain trees.\nSign up for the 2024 trees will be available at the event and also online for those who cannot make the event.\nTwo trees for 300 homeowners will be available for sign-up for Spring 2024. Our fundraising will subsidize the\ncost of trees. The trees will be available for $20.00 each. \nThere will be invaluable resources from many groups to help with rebuilding your backyards:\n• Northern Water will be onsite to answer questions about the landscaping templates\n• Resource Central will be onsite for sign ups for Spring 2024 Gardens in a Box

SUMMARY:1000 Origami Houses Project - by Laura Baker
DESCRIPTION:Laura Baker\, the artist will demonstrate how to fold an origami house and Miwa Steuben will accompany with koto music \nIn reflection of the devastating Marshall Fire that affected Boulder\, Louisville and Superior on December 30\, 2021\, Louisville resident Laura Baker created this installation of 1000 origami houses\, inspired by the traditional Japanese legend of the 1000 cranes\, symbolizing hope and healing. \nEach house has been folded and hung by hand in honor of the households affected by the fire. The story of the fire and the journey of recovery moves from left to right: the dry yellow grass of winter\, the cool blue winds\, the red flame\, the black ash\, the shades of green for renewal\, and the blue of skies for new possibilities. \nThis installation stands as a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit and the enduring power of community. It serves as a reminder of the beauty that can arise from even the darkest moments and inspires us to continue working towards a brighter future.”
